Community and Sustainability

Currimundi Campus is passionate about sustainability and embedding lifelong positive environment beliefs. Through play based, hands on activities we help build respect and compassion for plants, animals and nature through a variety of ways. The children at Currimundi Campus learn to place left over scraps from all meals in our scrap bins which are then fed to our worms as well as our owners’ pigs and goats. We receive regular photos of the farm animals eating our scraps! We also include sustainable topics within our programs through topics such as recycling, reusing and healthy sustainable habits. We also like reuse items for our craft and room projects and every month have a creative challenge within the rooms! Our beautiful families are also generously donating items to use. Gardening and nurturing our many plants is also part the children’s daily routine. We take full advantage of the Campus being built around the Tumbledown Park which also for many opportunities to embrace nature and our local animals and insects.

At Currimundi Campus we believe being a part of the community helps build a strong sense of belonging. We regularly welcome in our community through visits from community members such as the local dentist, speech therapist, local school and emergency services. We also encourage our families to visit and explore their connections to the community through their various careers.
